AI Ops Audit
Two weeks, fixed scope. I map your business workflows, find where the hours go, and hand you a prioritised roadmap: what to automate, what to leave alone, and what it will take.
What it is
Most teams know something is wrong with how the work flows. Invoices get re-keyed. Someone spends Friday afternoon assembling a report from four tabs. Onboarding a client takes nine emails and a spreadsheet nobody trusts. What is usually missing is not enthusiasm for automation, it is an honest picture of where the time actually goes and which of those problems are worth solving with software.
The audit produces that picture. Two weeks, a fixed scope agreed up front, and a roadmap at the end that is yours whether or not you ever hire me to build any of it.
What you get
Process-mapping workshops with your team, working from how the job is really done rather than how the process document says it is done
Automation opportunities ranked by return, with the effort and the risk attached to each
Tooling and architecture recommendations that fit the stack you already pay for
A 90-day roadmap you keep either way
You also get the negative findings, which are often the more valuable half. If a process is too variable, too low-volume, or too close to a judgement call to be worth automating, that goes in the report as clearly as the opportunities do.
How it runs
Mapping
Workshops with the people who do the work, not only the people who manage it. I follow a handful of real cases end to end, note every handoff and every re-entry of the same data, and get the volumes: how often, how long, how many people touch it.
Ranking and roadmap
I take the map away, size each opportunity against effort and risk, check the tooling assumptions, and come back with a ranked list and a 90-day sequence. We walk through it together so your team can challenge it while I am still in the room.
Who it’s for
Founders and operations leads at small and mid-sized businesses where the manual load has become visible but the cause is not obvious yet. It works best when someone internal can give me access to the people doing the work for a few hours across the fortnight.
It is not the right starting point if you already know precisely which workflow you want built and simply need it delivered. That is what the Automation Build Sprint is for. If the gap is ongoing technical leadership rather than a single project, look at Fractional CTO instead.
What it costs
Fixed price, agreed before anything starts. Book an intro call and you will have a concrete number within 48 hours, without a drawn-out proposal process. The intro call itself is free and takes thirty minutes.
Common questions
We’re not sure what to automate. Is that a problem?
It is the most common starting point, and exactly what the audit is for. Most people arrive with a feeling that too much is manual, and leave with a ranked list of what to automate and what to leave alone.
How quickly can we start?
Intro calls within a week. Audits usually kick off within two.
Do you work remotely?
Yes. I’m London-based and remote-first, with on-site workshops in and around London by arrangement.
Do we keep the audit if we don’t go ahead with a build?
Yes. The findings, recommendations and 90-day roadmap are yours to keep, whether or not we work together again.
What happens on the intro call?
Thirty minutes. You describe how the work flows today, I ask questions and give you my honest read, including whether automation is worth it for you yet. You leave with next steps either way. No deck, no pitch.
